Dr. Thomas A. Swift Elementary
Nestled in a quiet residential neighbourhood in East Abbotsford, Dr. Thomas A. Swift Elementary School is home to approximately 340 students from Kindergarten to Grade 5. Our caring and dedicated staff includes classroom teachers, a Physical Education specialist, Learning Assistance teachers, and support staff who work together to create a welcoming and inclusive learning environment for all students.
We are proud to support the diverse needs of our school community through a range of services, including support for Indigenous learners and students who are learning English as an additional language.
Dr. Thomas A. Swift is also home to the District Nature Education Program, which includes two Nature Kindergarten classes and a Nature Grade 1 class. These unique programs provide students with opportunities to explore, learn, and connect with the natural world through outdoor, experiential learning.
At Dr. Thomas A. Swift, we believe every student can learn, grow, and succeed. We encourage students to strive for their personal best while developing the skills, confidence, and responsibility needed to contribute positively to their school and community. Through engaging learning experiences and strong relationships, we foster a lifelong love of learning and a sense of belonging for every student.
